Scrappiest Happiest Knit Blanket
The “scrap” knit blanket that I’m sharing today is so much fun, and has the happiest look and feel! It’s soft, colorful, and full of wonderful texture. It’s also an easy pattern for just about any level of knitter.
See the full, free pattern below, or you may choose to purchase the ad-free printable pattern from Etsy HERE or the kit from Lion Brand Yarn HERE.
If you follow me, you know I love a cream or off-white blanket (The Billowy Quilted Knit Throw HERE and the Wintery Waffle Stitch Throw HERE), but I’m also having a lot of fun with color. There aren’t a ton of blankets I’ve designed on the blog that are knit with worsted weight yarn. But today, we have one!
This blanket is made with beautiful Lion Brand Heartland HERE, but you can also use any worsted weight yarn from your stash. Feel free to mix any colors you like – that is half the fun!
The entire blanket is made holding two strands of worsted weight yarn together. Holding the two strands together makes a cool mix of colors, and that fun marled, tweedy look. It also makes it a little heftier, so it’s really a nice throw.
This is also an easy blanket and it’s also totally customizable. You’ll just knit, purl, and do some yarn overs if you want to work the eyelet sections. If that’s too advanced for you, simply sub a garter stitch or stockinette stitch for the eyelets.
Okay, let’s get to this pattern!
Remember that you can purchase the ad-free, printable version (CLICK HERE) if you like having a nice, hard copy!
