Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick & Quick Giveaway!
Hi friends! Fall is going to be here before we know it, and I have chunky yarn on the brain. In fact, today I’ve got somewhat of a rarity happening here on the blog….a giveaway full of chunky yarn! Lion Brand Yarn has kindly offered to give away 6 skeins of my fave yarn (Wool Ease Thick & Quick) to one of you. Yay! In my blog post from last week, I shared some of the reasons that I love this yarn and if you follow me you know that I use it A LOT. It’s affordable, washable, works up quickly and it comes in all of my favorite colors. I also love the feel of it as the wool makes it warm and cozy, but the blend of acrylic lends to it’s soft texture. Some projects that I’ve made with this include the Chunky Icelandic Blanket, Aspen Knit Bag, Taos Crocheted Pillow and tons more! What are your favorite items to make with super bulky yarns?
I adore the variety of neutral, classic shades available with Wool Ease Thick and Quick. And if you’re a bright color fan, you should love the color choices too! If you turn out to be the big winner, simply tell me the colors that you like and they will be sent on their way.
So scroll to the bottom of this post to enter for your chance to win! 🙂
Let’s do this!
There are a few ways to enter the giveaway and there are also options to gain more entries. You must choose at least one entry option, which does require an email entry. By entering this contest, you consent that your email address will be added to my newsletter mailing list (full of all good things – lol) for Mama In A Stitch.
To be eligible, you must be 18 years of age or older, with a valid, USA or Canada shipping address. Giveaway ends at 12 AM July 21st, 2017.
The winner will be contacted by email and must reply with valid mailing address within 7 days or a new winner will be chosen. ( In other words, write me back if I email you! )
Thank you again to Lion Brand Yarn and I can’t wait to hear about the projects that you make with it this fall. 🙂
Good luck my friends and happy knitting and crocheting!
XO
-Jessica

I’ve been using this yarn for years. I just made a vest with T&Q, mostly in the wheat color in your picture. I’d made a vest for Mom and was using up my leftover oddballs and scraps. It turned out too small for me, but the landlady loved it so I gave it too her. Someday I’ll have my own T&Q vest, and 6 balls is surely enough to make sure it fits me this time! Thanks for the giveaway. KittenWhiplash on ravelry.
I am my Mother’s caregiver and she enjoys watching tv with me in the afternoon. I crochet, but was lacking enthusiasm until I saw your blanket on Pinterest. I loved making it and have purchased two kits from Lion Brand to make your poncho patter. The patterns are lovely and the yarn a dream to use. Thanks for the inspiration!

I really enjoy seeing all kinds of squares to make a sampler afghan. The 12 inch squares work up fast and you have an afghan in no time, but any size square will do. The possibilities are endless. Thanks for the giveaway.
I love making scarves, shawls, and warm hats at any time of year, but especially fall. Sometimes winters where I live are mild but other years they’re very cold, so I like to have an assortment of lightweight hats & scarves as well as really warm & heavy ones.
Very nice yarn. I love the color choice.
Thanks 🙂

And, you’re patterns are so wonderful and creative so I would imagine you would create the perfect item!
Love your free pattern section because it gives the full pattern, excellent pictures, and directions. The blanket sweater is my absolute favorite and cannot wait for winter to start wearing them.
I only started using Lion’s Brand Wool Ease Thick and Quick after stumbling onto your blog and loving your Chunky Icelandic Blanket. I’m new at crochet and thought your suggestion of using this yarn for a beginner was a great idea. I love the feel of the yarn. I made mine in Sequoia. I’d love to make others with their Oatmeal or Fisherman colors. For Fall, I want to make my first scarf, and I have recently been looking for ideas for something that isn’t going to be too wide or too bulky on my short frame.
I love your blog and patterns. It keeps me on my toes and always flagging high one to do next. I appreciate that they are quick ones. They are inexpensive to make but never appear that way. Can’t wait to see your fall options. Keep them coming. ❤️
I enjoy the blog and the patterns.
As much as I love, love, love working with bulky yarns, I’d love to see you do a project with the Lion Brand Mandala yarn. You have so much creativity that I just know you’ll find something totally awesome. I would also love to see some patterns done with Fettuccini yarn too. I love working with it, but so far I’ve only made a few bowls for decorating or to use as catch-alls. But please keep doing what you do. The world needs more creativity in it!!

I miss the light yarns. So much of the new yarns are big and bulky. Would like to see more of the 80% Cotton 40% Acrylic yarns that were light weight not as thin as crochet thread, just a bit thicker. I don’t need heavy yarns Florida.
I have enjoyed your blog for awhile, now. I particularly love the winter patterns, especially the oversized blanket sweater and the traveler knit infinity cowl. I love that you tend to use neutral colors. I most enjoy making cowls, muffetees, and socks, and most of my fall knitting is for Christmas gift-giving; but this fall I’m hoping to start the blanket sweater, for me!

Love all the crochet patterns. Love making scarves and hats:)
One of my favorite yarns too! What a cool contest!
I used T&Q years ago to make the Lion Brand slipper socks. It was my first time turning a heel, and I’m glad I used that pattern because it was so much easier to learn with bulky yarn than if I’d tried it with sock yarn (or finer gauge). This is a warm snuggly yarn.
You know what a basket full of chuncky yarn means. Strawberry blossom slipper time again. Yahoo?

Would love to see patterns for fuzzy alpaca yarn, either on it’s own or in combination with another type of yarn. A friend brought me some alpaca from South America and I’m clueless as to what to make! I also have to figure out the yardage as the skeins have no weight or yardage marked on them. Should be an adventure!
Cute cardigans & sweaters – beginner oriented with great texture stitches!
I love this yarn so comfy. would make the blanket shrug and lots of scarves.
I’m looking for something new in a hat pattern for the group I belong to. We make hats to donate to the local VA hospital.
I have used a loom a lot lately to try and boost production speeds but I would like to be able to use more patterns than the simple loom well known, if you do a tutorial for that it would be great 🙂 looming is a good beginner for people starting, and a good finisher for those with weakening hands.
I really enjoy your patterns! After scrolling all the way through all the other comments to get to where I can leave one, I’ve forgotten what the question was! I really appreciate you sharing your talent with us for free! That is so generous of you! Thank you, and thank you for the opportunity to win this prize!
