Shelly Throw Blanket Crochet Pattern

This shell stitch crochet blanket pattern works up fast, and it features a feminine, easy shell! If you’re a beach lover, or you just like a flowery, cozy blanket this is a fun option.

See the full free pattern below, or you may choose to purchase the ad-free, printable PDF from Etsy HERE or the kit from Lion Brand here.

What color would you make yours?

I don’t do a lot with shell stitches because they can seem too tedious to me. However, this version is simple, and it’s a really nice repeat once you get going.

This is a ONE ROW REPEAT! Totally perfect for watching your fave show, and making a shelly blanket all at once. 😉 There are tips and helpful pics below as well.

ALSO – I LOVE how fast this blanket works up, and it’s unique!

The “Shelly” throw was named because there are shells. Shells upon shells. Ha! I love looking for shells when we are on the beach and have great memories of summer vacations. But even if you aren’t a beach person, it’s just a cool, pretty stitch for a blanket.

The fringe is optional of course. It adds some nice flair though!

Home trends are becoming more floral, with maximalism coming back, and this blanket just feels like it fits with the trend.

The shell texture is unique and pretty, don’t you think?

Let’s get to this pattern!

Important:

Size Adjustments: To adjust the width of your blanket, you will want to start with a longer or shorter chain using a multiple of 8 + 9 extra stitches.  To make your blanket longer or shorter, you’ll simply crochet more or fewer rows until your desired length is reached. Keep yarn needs in mind if you adjust the size of your blanket.
