Mini Me Blanket Crochet Pattern
This Mini Me Blanket Crochet Pattern is my go-to for any young peeps in my life! I’m super happy to finally share a blanket that I’ve made for little ones time and time again. I’ve included a video tutorial below as well!
This is a great option for those teens and tweens too! And honestly, it’s great as a lapghan for all. It’s all about the velvety, fluffy, perfect blanket yarn. Let’s hop to this!

One of my all time favorite crochet stitches is the granite stitch. It features clean lines and a modern texture making it perfect fo the pickiest babies, kiddos, and teens! I’ve used the chenille blanket yarns with a variety of stitches, but for the blanket today, I wanted to use this pretty stitch. (The hdc stitch is a great one as well!)
By the way, I have given this as a toddler blanket too. It works great to put down on the floor to add some cushion and to work as almost a mat.
Listen, as the mama of a now tween, I know how picky little ones can be about fabric. I can’t make her anything with wool in it at this point. It has to be extra soft, washable, and in a color she likes.
The velvety chenille chunky yarns are a perfect answer for the question of which yarn to use to make a young’ns blanket out of. Ha!
I used Lion Brand Cover Story, which was fun because literally one ball of yarn made the entire blanket. They discontinued this grey colorway unfortunately, but there are several others you can check out.
And, feel free to browse online and at your local stores because there are a TON of chenille blanket yarns from a variety of brands that will work for this pattern. Feel free to sub with any comparable yarn that you love!
